Christa Chancellor
Christa Chancellor is Colibri Group’s senior vice president of finance. As senior VP of finance, Christa leads the company’s financial activities and opportunities to maximize our plans for financial growth and success. In her role, Christa is responsible for financial reporting, closing, forecasting and budgeting, shared services, tax compliance, and overall financial environment.
“My team helps drive the business and create enterprise value by supporting our leaders in decision-making for the company as a whole,” she says.
When she’s not heading Colibri’s finances, Christa enjoys cooking, spending time with her husband and “four children” — two kids, two fur babies — and exploring Missouri parks. She and her family also love traveling to their favorite ski spots in Colorado and Utah. Professionally, Christa is passionate about women in leadership: Not only has she worked inside many women-led companies, but she’s also been integral in starting women’s affinity groups, specific to training and mentoring, within several organizations.
Her favorite core value is teamwork: “I’m a collaborator, and in every role I’ve had, I try to think — upstream and downstream — about the impacts of our decisions and what we’re building to ensure everyone’s input is included in solving problems.”
Prior to Colibri Group, Christa served as vice president of finance at Maritz Global Events. Before Maritz, she held several financial positions at Monsanto over the course of a decade, with her last as director of investor relations. And, after passing the CPA exam, Christa also practiced public accounting and auditing at PricewaterhouseCoopers for several years.
She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in accounting from Truman State University.
